Membership

Membership is open to any organization, public or private, from any sector. Our membership includes hospitals; municipalities including their libraries, police and first responder services; school boards and higher education institutions; public utilities; and various research organizations. By interconnecting multiple organizations LARG*net enables members to share bandwidth and take advantage of any volume discounts it negotiates. For example, all member organizations have access to the Internet and LARG*net can increase the capacity of its connections to ensure overall capacity is met. Similar bulk connectivity would be advantageous to organizations in London's surrounding communities

Our Team

Structure and Governance

LARG*net is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. Membership is open to any organization, public or private, from any sector. Governance is provided through a Board of Directors comprised of up to ten sponsoring members, two representatives from regular members and two individuals from the community at large. Members are either regular or sponsoring. Sponsoring members are entitled to a seat on the Board of Directors and assume financial risk for LARG*net. Any organization may apply to become a member of LARG*net which requires approval by the Board of Directors.
